Prepare yourself critters, I have something extremely cute to show you 😜

A few tweaks will be made to the overall shape and the length of the straw, but otherwise the designer did an excellent job on the juice box and it looks perfectly silly and awesome!



That means the only thing we're waiting on now is the final Luna Mothman and beetle plush!! I'm continuing to cross my fingers we get an update on them this week. Beetle friend seems to be giving the designer some trouble, but I'm optimistic that the third time will be the charm with this lil critter.



All of that to say I'm more confident than ever that we'll be wrapping up the prototyping stage by early April, at which point I can set the closure date for the preorder store and give everyone a final heads up. Pictures WILL be updated with the latest version of all products well before the closure, just FYI.

Things are quickly coming together now, including the storefront where the leftover Snughouls will be listed after backer pledges and preorders are fulfilled! Last week I got the store updated both inside and out with all the SKUs from the campaign and added my fulfillment team as a collaborator so we can hit the ground running when the plushies arrive.



All that remains is to work on the "Meet the Snughoul" section as soon as time permits! This will include all the art and personality blurbs in one convenient place. 

Lastly I'd like to remind everyone that I post about snughoul-related stuff on my various social media accounts almost daily! Happy Saturday Critters!

It feels a bit weird going so long without an update, but I promise that doesn't mean things aren't happening! A good chunk of the behind the scenes work is responding to calls/emails, communicating with my manufacturers, and getting all my details and paperwork in order ahead of these critters leaving the factory. Not particularly fun stuff, but necessary all the same.

We got our first look at the last two Snughouls in prototyping purgatory this week though! These photos are edited to reflect the color changes I requested and we're just waiting on the right green for Luna's neck floof now. 



The bug friends also made an appearance this week! The first iteration of the beetle bug friend is a little rough, but the caterpillar is adorable and I'm confident they'll both look even better in the next update.



And finally I'd like to remind y'all that the Snughouls enamel pin collection launches in a little over two weeks!

It's always nerve-wracking launching a new campaign, but I've put my all into this one like usual and your kind words and excitement really take the edge off my pre-launch anxiety 😜

While this collection focuses primarily on pins, there will be plenty of other goodies too (including some cozy apparel WINK WINK) so I recommend giving the launch page a follow here! You won't wanna miss out on these early bird freebies.

While things have been slow on the sample front, I did receive the pin samples this week and frankly they turned out gorgeous. I think everyone who ordered a pin is going to enjoy them immensely. Even the Cuddle Club pin, which I opted to use UV printing on, has an cool raised texture on the design that really elevates it and I don't miss the metal details at all!

Now, onto fulfillment developments! If you've been reading along from that start, you'll know I decided early on to partner with a fulfillment center to help me manage the absolutely massive scale of this campaign. What I haven't talked as much about is how insanely difficult it is to find a 3PL company that I feel I can trust, that fits within our budget, and understands crowdfunding enough to meet all of our unique and sometimes weird needs.

I can't tell you how many people I've talked to, how many questions I've asked, or how many hours I've spent googling companies, reviews, and alternative solutions to these issues. But I finally have wonderful news!

I found a team that ticks all of these boxes and is relatively local, meaning I can visit their facility in person and (hopefully) build a long lasting relationship with as the Snughoul brand grows. I say I'm excited a lot because it's true-- I'm an endlessly renewing ball of excitement 90% of the time, BUT this is an extra special development that takes a tremendous weight off my chest. Quality checking, customer support, and order fulfillment will soon be more rigorous than ever before and things will only continue to get better!

Raw Paw will be hosting a preorder for high quality, screen printed Snughoul t-shirts that ends on February 27th. Shirts will be printed and shipped after that date if the minimum (10 orders) is met.

I was fully expecting to give your inboxes a break for a minute, but then my manu surprised me with a final update before they go on holiday and I'd like to pass the cuteness along.

Gutsy and Pumpkin Patch got their final tweaks and are ready to go! (Please note that Pumpkin Patch's badge looks really dark, but the color of the thread is lighter in person and it matches the color of the stitches.)
 


Gutsy's badge looks exactly how I wanted with the embroidery and I hope it makes my Gutsy lovers happy! The image I provided for the guts was a much higher resolution this time which made the final results crisper too, and I think it made a big difference.

While I'm here it also makes me very happy to share the last of the character art for this campaign! I miiiight have a few more surprises I'm working on, but you'll have to wait a bit longer for those 😜



Unrelated to this campaign but equally fun was the arrival of the snughoul pop keychains! I share these because it was your support that made them possible and I'm still so amazed that every day I get to wake up and work on snughoul stuff almost exclusively!




Here's another lil teaser for the upcoming pin campaign as well. I really love pins with dangly charms and this was my attempt at capitalizing on that. How are we feeling about this sad lil Gutsy? Are there any other pin types or characters in unique situations you would like to see? I'm open to ideas!
